Hello, my name is Ryan Farley. Tonight (9/15/21) I sit down and write the first entry on this website, which at the time of this post goes by "Farley Writes Racing". You might ask yourself: Why does (Ryan) Farley Write Racing? Well, the answer to that question may be slightly complicated, though I'll start with the answer which is the most straight forward. I (Ryan Farley) write racing about racing new, rumors, opinions, and statistics of auto-racing due to my deep connection with NASCAR. Like many individuals born within the United States in the last 50 years, NASCAR was very prominent and popular throughout my childhood. My parents, grandparents and friends all watched NASCAR races when I was young, and it was always on the family television on Sundays. While I was young, and probably didn't understand very much about the racing, it was bright, vibrant and memorable. As I grew older, my understanding of the sport flourished, and so did my overall interest.

At this point in the story I combine my original reasoning for why "Farley Writes Racing" with my second and more complicated reason. When the world NASCAR has peaked my brain as a young adult, it became apparent that I wanted to be a part of the sport. At first that meant dedicating time having conversations with other NASCAR fans, and then turned into researching story lines that were relevant in the sport. Before I knew it, I had a deep understand of what was happening in the NASCAR world and exactly what that meant. At the time I felt that knowledge could be best used to help other fans like myself understand situations within the sport. It was obvious to me that many of NASCAR's internet news sources were vague, or not putting in the effort I believed the should have. That sparked me to make a change. Because of the previous details, I decided to start my own NASCAR racing website called Stock Car Media where I would write about all the current events, rumors, opinions and whisperings within the sport in a professional and detailed manner. Today, that website still remains intact and active as ever, but now with the assistance of two of my close friends.

For that reason as you may ask for my blog postings or pieces of work, I will not direct you to Stock Car Media, rather I ask you to view this website. The reasoning behind that is that while my work is easily visible from Stock Car Media's homepage, its mixed in alongside the hard work of my partners, and I would never want you to confuse their work for mine. Here on "Farley Writes Racing", articles that I have written for Stock Car Media will be proudly displayed, alongside content exclusive to this blog from time to time. Now, I'd say you're ready to see some of my racing articles! Thanks for stopping in and getting a shallow understanding of what brings me here to write to you.
